Olson Power Trend Management is a relatively new company. For the past four years we existed as 808923 Alberta Inc. This was during our initial research effort. Our technical research and market research yielded positive results in two key areas. The market research is based upon U.S. Department of Commerce manufacturing export statistics for the 1990s, and on Statistics Canada manufacturing data. The conservative end analysis clearly indicates there is a great need among electrical energy users in continental North America for an economically feasible way to regulate their plant energy usage. The technical research resulted in an innovative new system architecture that addresses these needs. At the core of this network is a patented intelligent electronic device (IED) that, by itself, can do a lot for plant economics.
Our team is just now starting to expand, rising to the challenge of the new beta test program and further product development. Two members are professional associates working on contract, and two of us are founding employees. Our team remains focused and adaptive to new challenges. Two technical specialists are working on the IED commercial development, and two system integration specialists are working on the overall system design and implementation. These, our humble beginnings, are not so very humble at all. Collectively we have over a hundred years of data telemetry, SCADA, DCS, computer engineering, and business management experience.
